Feng Shui Your Bedroom Set

Feng shui is the new age Chinese concept that involves placing your bedroom furniture in certain places and positions to allow for the energy to run through the room giving you the ultimate sense of calmness and tranquility. The idea is that when energy is stuck so are your emotions and energy and so you may become tired and sluggish, irritable and angry. Allowing the energy to move freely keeps a constant flow throughout the room and thus your life so if you do feel tired at one point the energy can take it away and you won’t get stuck in that tired place for a long period of time.

How do you go about using feng shui for your bedroom and your bedroom set? One of the concepts of feng shui is to place the lower level items of bedroom furniture to the right of the bed and the taller bedroom set items to the left of the bed. The low level table or bedside cabinet to the right of the bed represents a tiger which means that you will be able to spring into action each day or whenever needed. The taller bedroom furnishings represents the dragon which is high above the ground giving us wisdom and the ability to reflect. Other ideas of feng shui involve not placing a mirror opposite your bed or the doorway. A mirror is a great reflector of energy and so it will bounce back to you what you give out, when you are relaxing in bed you do not want a whole force of energy being thrown at you.

Always keep your bedroom tidy and clean, this is not only the advice from your mother but from feng shui experts as well. There are many bedroom furniture tidies that can be used today such as shelves, space saving drawers, storage boxes that fit under the bed and so on. When there is clutter around your bedroom or if it is a mess and not in order the energy of the bedroom cannot flow properly, you have probably felt it yourself that when you tidy your bedroom or any room in the house for that matter it feels better than when it was a mess that is because you can feel the energy flowing.

Give yourself and bedroom a feng shui overhaul and rearrange some of your bedroom suite and bedroom furnishings, even if you can only do some of the suggestions it will make the world of difference.
