Wicker Bedroom Set

Wicker is a type of fibre which has been woven into a rigid material. This rigid material is then used to create many different types of furniture such as chairs, a bedroom set, vases, sofa beds, mirror frames, and many more things. A wicker bedroom set has a very distinct feel to it; it gives the impression of casualness and comfort, light and airiness. Wicker is very light in weight and has a woven touch to it giving it a very different look than your usual wooden bedroom set. There are two types of wicker used, one is natural and the other is synthetic. Natural wicker is very strong and is made from ratten vine. Natural wicker is beautiful and is renowned for its exquisiteness and charm. A bedroom set made from natural wicker is attractive and looks expensive. Synthetic wicker is made from paper-wrapped high tensile wire and plastic. Furniture made from synthetic wicker is cheaper and is often used more for outdoor use because t is more water proof. Wicker dates back to ancient Egypt times and wicker baskets were found in Pompeii. Still today we use wicker due to its durability, its attractiveness, and its feel.

A wicker bedroom set can make any room appear light and airy. Some wooden bedroom sets can appear bulky and oversized for the space you have available whereas a bedroom set made form wicker is spacious, light, and roomy. A great look for your room if you have darker walls or wall paper is to add a white wicker bedroom set, the whiteness of the bedroom set will open up the room and finish off the bedroom marvelously. Wicker comes in many different colours, brown and white are probably the most popular colours but any shade of colour is available in wicker. If your bedroom is quite light already you can add some colour by choosing a coloured wicker bedroom set such as green or orange.
